PG Dental : Apply Now


Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, has invited applications from qualified candidates of NEET MDS-2013, for allotment and admission to MDS Courses, 2013 in the Government Dental Colleges and to the 50% seats available in the Self Financing Dental colleges in Kerala.
A total of 59 seats are available in Government Dental Colleges in the State for the year 2013. Of these, 28 seats have been surrendered to Govt of India under All India Quota. Selection and allotment to these seats will be conducted by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi. There are 31 seats under 50% State Quota in the Government Dental Colleges. A total of 33 seats in MDS courses are available under 50% Government seats in the Self Financing Dental Colleges in Kerala.
Applicant should have obtained BDS Degree from any one of the Universities in Kerala or should possess a BDS Degree duly recognized by the Dental Council of India, from a Dental College duly recognized by the Government of India under the Dentists Act, 1948.
Applicant should have obtained provisional or permanent registration from any of the State Dental Councils after passing the final BDS examination with eligibility for full Registration in Kerala State Dental Council.
Applicants should have completed one year Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) as per DCI Regulations on or before 31.3.2013. The condition of one year Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship is not applicable to those candidates who had passed their final BDS Examination in 1988 or before and hold a BDS Degree from a Dental College recognized by the Dental Council of India and have obtained provisional or permanent registration from any of the State Dental Councils. Admission to the candidate will be given only after obtaining Registration of Kerala State Dental Council.
Applicant should be an Indian Citizen of Kerala Origin. Son/daughter of Non-Keralite parents,who have obtained BDS Degree from any of the Dental Colleges in Kerala and have opted for the domicile status of State of Kerala are also eligible but they will not be eligible for communal/PD reservation benefits.
Upper age limit will be fixed as on 30.4.2014. For general merit candidates, it is 45 years. For Service Quota candidates, other than those from Medical Education Services (MESQ),it will be 46 years and for MESQ candidates, it will be 50 years.
All candidates including service candidates should have qualified in NEET (MDS)-2013. Applicant should have obtained percentile score of 50 or above in NEET (MDS)-2013. However in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC),-the minimum percentile needed is 40. In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum percentile needed will be 45.
All candidates including Service Quota candidates have to qualify NEET MDS-2013 conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).Those who satisfy the eligibility conditions as per clause IV of the Prospectus for Admission to MDS courses 2013 and are included in the Kerala State Rank List of NEET MDS-2013 alone will be considered for admission to MDS Courses.
On the basis of the applications submitted by the qualified candidates, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will prepare a Merit List and Category List of SC, ST, SEBC and PD applicants for allotment and admission The selection of the Service Quota candidates will be made from the Rank list furnished by the Director of Medical Education and approved by the Post Graduate Selection Committee.
Application can be submitted only online atwww.cee.kerala.gov.in. Applicant should then remit the required fee at any branch of State Bank of Travancore using the bank chalanthat will be available with the printout of the online application. Those applicants residing outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by way of a Demand Draft for the requisite amount, drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Application fee for General Quota and Service Quota candidates is Rs.1000/. For SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits as per G.O.(Ms) No. 25/05/STSCDD dated 22.03.2005,the application fee is Rs.500/-. Service Quota candidates seeking admission in General Quota also, should pay an additional amount of Rs.1000/-.
All applicants including service quota candidates should take the printout of the online application,affix their passport size photograph (same as the one uploaded to the online application for NEET MDS-2013) in the space provided in it and get it attested by a Government Gazetted Officer. They should then forward the completed application with all the required documents mentioned in clause VIII(e) of the Prospectus to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695 001, either by Registered Post/ Speed Post/Hand Delivery to reach before 5 pm on 05.06.2013 (Wednesday).
However, Service Candidates in addition, should forward a copy of the completed application along with all required documents including their service details to the Controlling Officer concerned as stipulated in the Prospectus, to reach on or before 5 pm on 5.6.2013 (Wednesday).
Those eligible for allotment/admission to the MDS courses will be issued with the admit cards which can be downloaded from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.infrom the date notified.
The selection and allotment of seats including those under Service Quota will be made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations through a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) which is a Single Window System of allotment based on the options submitted online by the candidates, eligible as per Prospectus for admission to MDS Courses 2013, approved by the Government of Kerala.
Tuition fee for MDS Seats in Government Dental Colleges will be Rs. 40400/- per annum. There will be a miscellaneous fee of Rs.6,000/- per annum.  Caution Deposit (refundable) will be Rs. 2,000/-. University fee, as applicable will have to be paid. Thefee in full has to be paid at the allotted College on the day of admission. The fee for the Government / Merit seats in Self-financing Dental Colleges under 50% Govt seats will be announced before the allotment.

CUSAT CAT : Option Registration Till May 31



The counselling/admission schedules of the 2013-14 Academic admissions of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) have been published in the websites www.cusat.ac.in and www.cusat.nic.in.
The option registration to the various B.Tech programmes of the University are going on and the last date will be on May 31 and the last date for option registration to the MCA programme will be on 5 June 2013. Those who do not register their options online within the prescribed time limit will lose their eligibility for admissions to the B.Tech and MCA programmes.
The candidates seeking admissions for other programmes need not register their options online, but may keep a watch on their status (selection list – sure and chance) in the website regularly.

CBSE Class XII Results on May 27

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the results of the Class XII final examination for all regions on Monday, 27th May, 2013. The results will be available at http://cbseresults.nic.in from 10 am onwards. CBSE has made special arrangements for quick access of results by individuals as well as schools through online, IVRS and SMSs modes. A detailed description on obtaining results in various modes is available in the CBSE website. As per previous years, this year also the CBSE is hosting its results with the technical support of National Informatics Centre (NIC). 

The schools can get entire school's results by giving their school code and email-id by registering themselves on which result is required on the following websites:www.results.nic.inwww.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in

With CBSE plus two results also getting announced on Monday, the professional course admission in several states including Kerala will gather momentum now. In Kerala, the state scheme Plus Two results were announced earlier this month. The Kerala entrance results also came on last Thursday.  The CBSE will now have to announce the results of Class X for all regions.

MTech in Kerala University : Apply Now

Applications have been invited by University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram for admission to MTech Admissions in the Departments of Optoelectronics, Computer Science & Future Studies for the year 2013-14.

I. MTech Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing) 
Eligibility: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks in one of the following branches: Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University.
OR
First Class Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Application from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University.

II. Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical Communication) 
Eligibility: At least a second class BE / BTech or equivalent degree with 55% marks in Electronics / Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation or MSc Degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Electronic Science or Electronics of the University of Kerala or equivalent.
Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for the SC / ST candidates are 50%.

III. MTech (Technology Management)
Eligibility: BTech Degree or equivalent in any branch of Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks from any of the recognized Universities in India.
Admissions to non-sponsored seats will be made on the basis of valid GATE score.
Admissions to sponsored seats will be governed by the following AICTE guidelines. The candidates should have:

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks from AICTE approved institutions. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified GATE.

(ii) A minimum two-years of full time work experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational and research institution / any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field.

(iii) Less than 45 years of age as on 1st day of the year of admission

How to apply?
(i) Application form can be obtained by hand or by Post or can be downloaded. The registration fee and fee for application form for MTech is Rs. 500/-

The request should be sent along with the pay-in-slip of University Cash Counter or crossed DD issued by any branch of SBT or SBI or District Co-operative banks, drawn in favour of The Finance Officer, University of Kerala, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. In case the candidates choose to send a DD, he/s he should send a DD for Rs. 510/- and the name of person for whom the remittance is made and the purpose of remittance should be stated on the back of the DD. Request for application through post should be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

ii) The application form and hall ticket (for non-gate & sponsored candidates) duly filled along with attested copies of the following documents

  • Mark lists of all examinations (semesters / years)
  • GATE score card
  • Community certificate for SC / ST reservation
  • Community and Income certificate for OBC reservation
  • BPL certificate for BPL reservation
  • Disability certificate from the Medical Board of a Government Hospital for Physically Handicapped reservation

CUSAT BTech : Option Registration from May 23


The provisional rank list for the U.G and PG programmes will be available on the website www.cusat.nic.in and www.cusat.ac.in  from  22.5.2013  12.30 pm. onwards. Option registration for the B.Tech. and PG programme will be commencing from 23.5. 2013  and  the last date fixed on 31.5.2013.The details of the counseling/admission scheduled will be published in the University website.

From a total of 23937 candidates who appeared for the B.Tech. Programme 21800 candidates qualified for admission of which 8537 candidates are from outside the state and 13263 from within Kerala. The rank list for the U.G and PG programmes will be available on the website www.cusat.nic.in and www.cusat.ac.in  from  22.5.2013  12.30 pm. onwards.

Kerala Entrance ( KEAM 2013) : Results published

The results of Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations for admission to Professional Degree Courses (KEAM) have been announced. The results are available at http://www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Gokul G. Nair (Kasargod) bagged the first rank in Medical Entrance. Amar Babu (Kozhikode) and Adila A (Malappuram) stood the second and third positions.

The Medical Entrance Examination was conducted at 172 venues in all the 14 Revenue Districts centers of the State, in New Delhi and in Dubai. Out of 59225 candidates appeared 51559 (Male - 13842 and Female - 37717) are included in the medical rank list. The results of 59 candidates have been withheld for various reasons. Candidates who have not appeared for both the Papers in the Medical Entrance Examination and those who have secured less than 10 marks (with exception of SC / ST candidates) in each paper of the examination have been disqualified. From this year onwards the MBBS and BDS admission will be through NEET conducted by CBSE.
The Engineering Entrance Examination was conducted at 291 venues in all the 14 Revenue Districts centers of the State, in New Delhi and in Dubai. A total of 99488 candidates appeared for the exam. Out of which 74226 candidates (Male - 39038 and Female - 35188) have been qualified. The marks of 81 candidates have been withheld for various reasons. Candidates who have not appeared for both the Papers in the Engineering Entrance Examination and those who have secured less than 10 marks (with exception of SC / ST candidates) in each paper of the examination have been disqualified. The results of candidates claiming SC / ST benefits, but whose community claims have not been cleared by the Screening Committee, have also been withheld.

Those candidates who have qualified in the Engineering Entrance Examination will have to submit the marks obtained by them in the final year of the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology in order to prepare the Engineering rank list 2013. Detailed notification for submission of marks of the qualifying examination will be issued separately. The Engineering rank list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination (Paper I and Paper II put together), and the grade / marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology put together in the qualifying examination. 
Candidates can submit their marks through online from tomorrow onwards up to 4th June, 2013. The BArch aspirants can submit their plus two marks from 25th May to 4th June.

The Category / Community-wise list will also be published in due course after publishing the Engineering rank list. Separate Notification for Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for allotment to various courses and colleges will be issued in due course.
