IIM CAT Results announced

The results of Common Admission Test (CAT) that was held in 2011 have been be declared on today. The results are available at the official website of CAT www.catiim.ac.in

The test for getting into the 13 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and various other management schools in the country was conducted from October 22, 2011 to November 18, 2011. This year a total number of 2.06 lakh CAT vouchers were sold while 2.05 lakh candidates registered for the test.

MBA 2012 at IIT Kharagpur

Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) under Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has invited online applications for admission to MBA programme of the academic year 2012-14.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Procedure:
A candidate who has either secured or is likely to secure a first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a first class Master’s degree in Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) or a first class Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) is eligible for admission.

Selection will be based on application rating, performance in CAT for domestic students and GMAT for international students, and candidate’s performance in group discussion and personal interview. Cusat invites applications for MBA Travel & Tourism

The Cochin University of Science and Technology has invited applications for admission to MBA Travel and Tourism (self-financing) Programme. The admission is based on a Management Aptitude Test. The online registration will commence from 24-07-2009 at 4.00 p.m.The eligibility is a degree in any subject recognized by the university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The registration fee is Rs.750/- + bank charges for general category candidates and Rs.375/- + bank charges for SC/ST students.

The mode of payment has to be through demand draft. The DD taken from State Bank of India or State Bank allied banks drawn in favour of Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam only will be accepted.

The test centres are Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. If the number of candidates in a particular test centre (other than Ernakulam) is less than 100, such centre/centres will be cancelled and the candidates who have chosen the cancelled test centres will have to attend the test at the Ernakulam centre.

The candidates who have already appeared for the Management Aptitude Test of CAT 2009 also have to register again for considering them for the Admission to MBA Travel and Tourism. No registration fee is required for these candidates.

The admission will be from the students of Keralite and non-Keralite category. A total of 10% of seats will set apart for students on all-India basis and the remaining for Keralites.

Candidates who have appeared/are apprearing in full for the final qualifying examination can also apply. However, this provision is not applicable to the candidates appearing for compartmental/improvement examinations.
