SSLC results by April-end or in May

The preparations for declaring SSLC results towards the end of this month or early next month are in progress now. The Government has also made arrangements to make available this year's  SSLC results through SMS for free. The IT@School is controlling this system. For this a candidate has to register on the website www.itschool.gov.in by entering his register number and the mobile number to which the SMS has to be sent, before April 27. The result will be available on the mobile phone just after  the results are declared.
The IT@School has made arrangements on the website for making group registration for 20 students apart from individual registration. Only two registrations can be made on one mobile number. Likewise the result of one register number will not be available on more than two mobile numbers. IT@School will also make arrangements for making  available the results on the web fast.

SSLC RESULTS 2010 ANNOUNCED

State Education Minister M A Baby on Monday announced the results of the Secondary School Leaving Examination at the scheduled hour of 11.30 am. The pass percentage for this year is 90.72 per cent which is lower than the pass percentages for the last two years. Kannur recorded the highest pass percentage of 96.88 while Palakkad recorded the lowest 83.33 percentage.

Overall 4.5 lakh students appeared for the SSLC Examination of whom 4,08226 students came out victorious becoming eligible for higher studies.

The SAY Examination for those who have failed SSLC will be held on May 17 and the results of the same will be announced by May end for enabling the winners of the exam to apply for higher studies this academic year itself.

Altogether 5182 students have secured A Plus Grade while 17515 have secured A Grade in this year's SSLC Exam. A total of 256981 students have secured C Grade while 114868 students have bagged C Plus Grade. Altogether 568 schools secured 100 per cent success while 54 schools bagged 90 per cent success. A total of 19 schools have achieved 100 percent success in the special school scheme in which 107 schools were included.

It is for the first time in the history of the SSLC Examination that the results are declared so early. The Minister credited this achievement to the combined efforts of the teaching community who valuated the papers and tabulated marks and the officials in the Education Department. He also commended the efforts to keep the security and secrecy of the examination.

The Minister in his address said that the pass percentage was achieved without giving moderation. This year the pass percentage is less than 1.2 percentage of last year. However the pass percentage of SC/STs and weaker sections and the otherly abled went up this year, he said. In the year 2005 the pass percentage of SC/ST was 37 whereas this year it has gone up to 80 per cent. For OECs this has gone up from 56 per cent in 2005 to 90 per cent in 2010. The Minister said the Government had set aside 10 crore rupees for lifting up the otherly abled students.The government helped them with allowing scribes in the exam

The Minister also said that the Plus One Classes will start by June 30 itself. The Plus One applications should be admitted by May 20 itself.

In the light of the reforms initiated at the national level by the Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal to dispense with the 10th and 12th CBSE exams, Baby said the SSLC Exam will be retained in the state with the necessary scientific reforms without burdening students. "We were of the view that the national-level reforms should have been initiated after adequate discussions with states. We are not for increasing the anxiety of students by pressurising them with exams. The SSLC Exams will be accordingly reformed for the benefit of students," he said.

The Minister congratulated all the winners of this year's exam and asked the losers not to get disheartened and strive more hard to achieve success.

SSLC results to be announced on May 3

The all important Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination results for the year 2010 will be declared on May 3, according to informed sources in the Education Department. A meeting of the Pass Board for the Examination will be held tomorrow in Thiruvananthapuram in which the pass percentage for the examination will be finalised and approved. Education Minister M.A.Baby is expected to convene a press conference on the morning of May 3 to announce the results.

The results of the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations are expected to be published by the second week of May.

Around 4,50,167 candidates had written the SSLC examinations in the ‘regular' category, while as many as 1,351 candidates had appeared as private candidates. The valuation of the papers have been completed in the stipulated time and the results are being announced as per the schedule announced by the Directorate of Public Instruction.

SSLC results on May 8

Minister for Education M.A. Baby has said that the next year’s SSLC results would be declared earlier than that of this year.

“We have already started planning towards this end,” Mr. Baby told the Hindu on Saturday even as this year’s results are about to be declared on May 8.

It is for the first time in the history of the SSLC examinations that results, which are usually declared in the last week of May, are being declared earlier.

Asked how this could be achieved, the minister said that the employees were capable of delivering goods if taken into confidence and were motivated.

Mr. Baby said that results will be available over mobile phone and would be published online.
