KERALA ENTRANCE RESULTS BY 15th MAY

The much awaited results of the Kerala Common Entrance Exam for Professional courses admission 2010 which was held during April 19-22 will most probably be announced on 15th May, according to reliable sources. This time there has been an understanding between govt and managements to advance the admission preceedure, hence this plan, it is learnt. The online counselling will begin before the the beginning of June. The CEE office is in tight schedule related to the rank list preparation.

The self financing engg college management association representatives who met the minister of education MA Baby had put forward a demand for hike in fees this year also. And the minister was not against it, says GPC Nair, President of the association. As per the minister's suggestion, the association is preparing a statement of additional expenditure which they expect to occur due to the enhanced pay scale of teachers as per AICTE's new norms. But the AICTE itself has made it clear that the new regulations would be applicable only to new colleges and the new courses of the existing colleges. Hence the demand for hike in fees in unreasanable, point out experts in the field.

At the same time the medical mananegements association which admitted students from the CEE list till last year has given an advertisement in a local daily for admitting students for MBBS. It is not clear in the advt whether it is meant for manangement seats or entire seats. They also prescribed minimum marks of 60,65,and 70 pc in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology in selected colleges , ignoring the fact that the minimum prescribed by the Medical Council of India for MBBS admission is 50 pc in the three subjects put together.
