BITS, Pilani Admission to Higher Degree

Applications have been invited by the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, has invited applications for the following courses of Academic Year 2010-11.
M.E. Computer Science
M.E. embedded Systems
M.E. Microelectronics
M.Pharm.
M.Pharm. (with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutics)
Candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying degree examination for all programmes as follows:
1.  Biotechnology -  Any integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with adequate preparation in Bio-chemistry and Microbiology.
2.  Chemical; Civil; Computer Science; Mechanical - Integrated first degree of BITS in the same discipline or its equivalent.
3.  Communication Engineering -  Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation or its equivalent.
4.  Design Engineering; Manufacturing Systems Engineering - Integrated first degree of BITS in Mechanical or its equivalent or M.Sc. (Tech.) Engineering. Technology of BITS or its equivalent with the requirement of taking certain additional courses.
5.  Electrical with specialization in Power Electronics & Drives -  Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation or its equivalent.
6.  embedded Systems -  Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science or its equivalent.
7.  Microelectronics -  Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Physics or its equivalent.
8.  Software Systems - Any Integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with specific prior preparation.
9.  M.Pharm. -  Integrated first degree of BITS in Pharmacy or its equivalent.
10. M.Pharm. (with specialization in Pharmacetical Chemistry/Pharmaceutics) - Integrated first degree of BITS in pharmacy or its equivalent.
For admission to Higher Degree programmes leading to M.E./M.Pharm. candidates have to appear in the online tests conducted by BITS at designated centers in different cities

After completing the form online, print outs of the filled form have to be sent with the requisite fee by registered post /speed post to The Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan - 333 031 (India).
The application fee is Rs. 1500/-. The fee payment can be made in one of the following modes:
1. Payment by Credit Cards (All credit cards issued by Master and Visa) or Payment by debit Cards (Debit cards issued by VISA of select banks, namely (Andhra Bank, Axis Bank, Barclays Bank, Canara Bank, City Union Bank, Corporation Bank, Deutsche Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IOB Bank, Kotak bank, Standard Chartered, SBI, Syndicate bank, Federal Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, GE Money financial services.)
2. Payment through Net Banking (Allahabad Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Rajasthan, Corporation Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Karnataka Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, South Indian Bank, Vijaya Bank, Yes Bank).
3. By cash payment at all ICICI Bank branches through a challan which is to be printed from this website while registering if you choose challan mode of Payment.
4. Through Demand Draft drawn in favour of BITS, Pilani payable at SBBJ-Pilani (Code: 10398) or UCO Bank-Pilani (Code: 0150) or SBI-Pilani (Code: 11309) or ICICI Bank-Jhunjhunu (Code: 0799).
Last date for submission of application is 30th November 2010.
