AIEEE, AFMC exams rescheduled after paper leak

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination(AIEEE), being taken by over 12 lakh students across the country, was delayed by three hours Sunday over reports that one of the papers had been leaked, an official said Sunday.
"The first paper that was scheduled to start at 9.30 a.m. has been delayed by three hours. We have notified over 1,600 examination centres across the country," said an official from theCentral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the nodal agency for conducting the exam.
The paper is conducted in two halves over the day. While the first paper is for bachelor of engineering (B.E.) aspirants, the second paper (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.) is for students wanting to pursue bachelor of architecture (B.Arch).
"The authorities will soon notify students on the timings of the second exam. Students need not worry," added the official.
However, there was no official information on the question paper leak.
"It is difficult to say anything on the question paper leak as of now. We are only going by reports," the official said.
Over 12 lakh students across the country are appearing for around 26,816 engineering and architecture seats under the AIEEE.
