MTech 2012 at BIT, Sindri

Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri, Dhanbad, has invited applications for admission to the following PG (MTech) programmes of the institute:

* Process Metallurgy

* Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engg.
* Structural Engg

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates with a valid GATE score with BE / BTech or equivalent degree in respective mentioned discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent C.G.P.A ( in case of SC/ST the minimum marks of 55% or equivalent C.G.P.A) from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE New Delhi are eligible to apply in prescribed format. Candidates possessing above qualifications and having valid GATE score will
be entitled for monthly stipend as per the AICTE / Government approved norms as per availability of fund from AICTE. If seats are not filled up with GATE qualified candidates, candidates without GATE qualification will be considered without monthly stipend.

How to Apply :
Application forms are available on the BIT website and can be downloaded from :www.bitsindri.ac.in.

Filled up application form must accompany a Demand Draft of Rs. 700 (Seven hundred only) for General and OBC category and Rs. 400 (Four hundred only) for SC and ST category. The demand draft should be made in favor of "Director, B.I.T. Sindri" payable at SBI, BIT, Sindri (Branch code–11812).

Filled up application form along with the draft & relevant enclosures should reach the "Director, B.I.T, Sindri, P.O. Sindri Institute, Dist. Dhanbad-828123, Jharkhand" by hand / Speed Post till 14.05.2012.

Employed candidates should send the applications through their employer. However, an advance copy of the application may be submitted. The admission will be subjected to the submission of the No Objection Certificate at the time of interview from his / her employer in the format prescribed in the application form.

List of enclosures :
Photo copy of all the above certificates should be self attested :
1. (a) Final year / Semester marks sheet & passing certificate of BE / BTech or equivalent.
(b) Appearing candidates should attach 7th semester / 3rd year marks sheet.
2. Marks sheet of 10th & 12th standards
3. Passing certificate of 10th standard for age proof
4. Caste certificate (for reserve category) issued by SDO / DM / DC
5. Valid Gate Score
6. Residential certificate issued by SDO / DM / DC
