At last the keenly awaited day has come. The first allotment in the Kerala professional courses admission has been released before noon on the appointed day of July 17. Candidates can now enter the roll number, application number and key number at the site http://www.cee.kerala.gov.in/capresult2009/main/index.php to know their position. The candidates who get allotment in the first allotment have been advised by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination to remit the fee from 18th to 25th July 2009.
Those who fail to remit the fee on or before 25th July 2009 will lose the existing allotment and the existing higher options in all the streams. Candidates allotted to MBBS/BDS course should join the colleges on 27th or 28th July 2009 and candidates allotted to Engineering, Architecture or Medical courses other than MBBS/BDS shall remit fee on or before 25th July2009 but they need to join the course only after the second allotment, the CEE said.
According to the official press release from the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations,
a total number of 43,442 students registered 30,06,338 options at the
time of closing of options at 10 pm on 14th July.
Altogether 150 colleges in the various sections of government, aided, government-controlled self-financing and private self-financing, figure in the list for first allotment. These include 49 engineering colleges, eight medical colleges, 17 dental colleges, one sidha and one ayurveda college in the private self-financing sector
Allotted student’s name, roll number, allotted course, college, reservation granted, the tuition fee/deposit/caution deposit to be remitted have been published on the allotment page. The student can take a printout of the page.
Students have not been given allotment in nine self-financing ayurveda colleges that are yet to get the Letter of Permission from the Central Government. Kasargode, Thrikkarippur, College of Engineering’s BTech Biotechnology course which has not received the AICTE approval and Wayanad Government Engineering College’s BTech Electrical and Electronics (E&E) course which has not received the university recognition, have not been included in this allotment.
FEE REMISSION
Students who have got allotment should remit the fees at one of the select branches of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) between 18.07.2009 and 25.07.2009 3.30 pm. and collect the receipts. The list of the select SBT branches is given on the site www.cee-kerala.org The allotment and the higher options to all streams of students who fail to submit the fee within the stipulated time, will be cancelled.
The fee concession for the BPL/low income family/SEBC students in self-financing medical/dental colleges that has come into effect in 2009 will be granted only after the completion of the allotment process. So students who do not receive benefits under SC/ST/OEC G.O. (M.S) No. 25/2005/SCSTDD dated 20.06.2005, should remit the state merit fee. Those who receive fee concession after admission will get back the excess fee remitted.
MBBS/BDS COLLEGE ADMISSION
It has been notified that students who have received allotment to MBBS/BDS courses should present themselves with the originals of their certificates as specified in the prospectus, at the allotted college on July 27 and 28, 2009, and secure admission. The self-financing medical and dental managements have been authorized to secure a bond from students who secure admission in government quota (except SC/ST) for service on the lines of the bond in government colleges. The MBBS/BDS allotment and higher order options to all streams of students who do not secure admission by presenting themselves before the respective MBBS/BDS colleges before 28.07.2009 will be cancelled.
Students who have received allotment to medical/engineering/architecture courses other than MBBS/BDS should remit fees/deposits/caution deposits between July 18 and July 25. However these candidates need to secure admission in the allotted colleges only after the second allotment.
SECOND ALLOTMENT
The second phase of allotment will begin soon. In the second allotment there is a limited option registration opportunity. Fresh options can be registered in the second allotment.
for newly sanctioned/sanctioning colleges, courses and the self-financing colleges that have signed agreements with the government after the commencement of the allotment process. Orders will be issued regarding these at the appropriate time.
